Puppy Classes

The first 3 months of a puppy’s life is extremely important – this is where they form many of their lifelong habits. Bring your puppy to this 4 week class to start them off right.

Professional training for you from Kate Hocking BSc, Dr Alex Hicks BVsc Director Vets 4 Pets & Alison Olsen, Owner of Pet Essentials New Plymouth. Classes take place in store (65/67 Molesworth St, New Plymouth.)

​Training is generally for puppies 8-12 weeks of age. The classes are kept small and run over 4 consecutive weeks. Bookings are essential.
Classes include:
  • Socialization with people and other puppies
  • ​Learning basic commands (sit, down, stand, come, heel)
  • Toilet training
  • Controlling biting, jumping, chewing, and barking
  • Relieving boredom
This class teaches new dog owners basics of dog care and includes plenty of time for the puppies to play with each other.
